Sendratari tradisional di Bali yang menggambarkan pertempuran antara Barong dan Rangda sangatlah terkenal dan sering dipertunjukkan sebagai atraksi wisata.

The music video, which is shot, directed and edited by Henry “Sadiki” Buckley, Jr. will premiere exclusively at Reggaeville.com, and will then be distributed to reggae music video channels, programs and online outlets worldwide. In the video, Davis emerges from a humble seaside home, which offers a stunning view of the ocean and the most beautiful sunrise imaginable. He takes us through a portion of his daily chores in his garden and by the shore where he finds a message…
“My World (Acoustic)” is the second music video accompanying Davis’ album “Iyahcoustic”, released in August 2016. His first music video “I Won’t Cry (Acoustic)” was released in December of 2016 and has been viewed over 250,000 times on YouTube.
Davis is survived by his wife Jennifer Ballin, his mother, his brothers and sisters, his daughters Shauna, Stacy, Simone and Jasmine, sons Ryan, Christopher, Jason, his grand-children, his extended family and his many friends.

Kids' Skulls Reveal Traumatic Death In Ancient France

Within the Michelet cemetery in Lisieux, France, archaeologists discovered over 100 children and nearly 1,000 adults dating to the late Roman to early Medieval periods. Three of those children, all between the ages of 2 and 7, had severe head injuries that almost certainly killed them. Archaeologists studied the remains in order to figure out whether these were accidental injuries, purposeful attacks, or child abuse.

O-Tone No Nagare Ne Sote (大利根の流れに沿うて Along The Grand Tone River) is a composition of Tsuyoshi Sakamoto and requires five kotos, hoteki, shamisen and shakuhachi. This piece is rarely played because of the great difficulty of assembling the necessary music talent.
However, it is regarded as an outstanding example of koto music, and has no peer in sumptuous sonorities and excitement . The Tone is a river leading to the Sea of Japan and includes many short musical elements from Japanese folk songs. The 17-string koto acts as the undercurrent of the music, and the flute (hotei) stands out to convey the peaceful atmosphere to the listener. 18-stringed kotos are used as percussive sounds, while the shamisen stresses the gentler aspects to relieve the tension in accordance to tradition.

τρέχεις να ψάξεις μες στα καταφύγια και βρίσκεις μιαν αιχμάλωτη γενιά.

was a Greek Italian contemporary artist based in Rome. He studied in art college in Athens
until 1956 and at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome.

Early on Kounellis lived in Greece
during the Second World War and a civil war
that lasted for ten years until he moved to Rome in 1956.
From the years of 1960–1966, Kounellis went through a period of only exhibiting paintings. In some of his first exhibitions, Kounellis began stenciling numbers, letters, and words onto his canvases often reflecting advertisements and signs seen on the street. In 1960 he began to introduce found sculptural objects such as actual street signs into his work, exhibiting at Galleria La Tartaruga. This same year he donned one of his stencil paintings as a garment and created a performance in his studio to demonstrate himself literally becoming one with his painting. This newfound convergence of painting, sculpture, and performance was Kounellis' way out of traditional art. By 1961 he began to paint on newspaper to reflect his feelings towards modern society and politics. In 1963, Kounellis introduced found objects in his paintings, among them live animals but also fire, earth, burlap sacks, gold. He replaced the canvas with bed frames, doorways, windows or simply the gallery itself. Kounellis' work from the 1980s, which also consisted of sculptures and performances using unusual materials, traveled all over Europe. In 1974 Jannis Kounellis performs with Edward Kienholz, Wolf Vostell and other artists in Berlin at the ADA – Aktionen der Avantgarde. His work has become integral to numerous renowned, international museums' collections.

Yannis Markopoulos (Γιάννης Μαρκόπουλος) - The Sea
Yannis Markopoulos (Γιάννης Μαρκόπουλος) (born 18 March 1939) is a Greek composer.
Yannis Markopoulos was born in 1939 in Heraklion, Crete. From one of the old families of the island—his father was an attorney and later the Prefect—he spent his childhood in the seaside town of Ierapetra. The Byzantine liturgy heard regularly from the church opposite his family home, Cretan traditional music, with its rapid dances of repeated small motifs, played by local instruments at the town’s weekly festivities, but at the same time the sound of the waves, and the detonation of land-mines in the aftermath of World War II, all these formed part of the acoustic universe of the composer as a child. He took his first lessons in music theory and the violin at the local conservatory and played the clarinet in the municipal band. Meanwhile, other musical experiences of decisive importance were classical music as well as the music of the wider Eastern Mediterranean and, most important of all, that of nearby Egypt, which he heard either over the radio or from musicians and travellers passing through his hometown. Thanks to his father’s extensive private library he had the opportunity to deepen his knowledge, beyond school education, in literature, philosophy, history and the arts. He began composing music during his adolescence and two melodies of this time would later become songs that have enjoyed great popularity throughout Greece.

ήταν σύγχρονος Έλληνας ζωγράφος με διεθνή καταξίωση και καθηγητής
της Ανωτάτης Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών (ΑΣΚΤ).

Γεννήθηκε στη Χαλκίδα τον Ιούνιο του 1934. Σπούδασε ζωγραφική στη Ανωτάτη Σχολή Καλών Τεχνών (1953-1958) έχοντας καθηγητές τον Γιάννη Μόραλη και τον Σπύρο Παπαλουκά. Συνέχισε σπουδές στη σκηνογραφία στην "École Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs" καθώς και εσωτερική διακόσμηση στη "Métiers d'Art" στο Παρίσι (1960-1964) με υποτροφία του Ι.Κ.Υ.

Το 1975 εκλέχθηκε καθηγητής της ΑΣΚΤ. Έργα του έχουν εκτεθεί στην Αθήνα, σε ατομικές εκθέσεις στις γκαλερί "Ζυγός", "Άστορ", "Μέρλιν", αίθουσα Τέχνης (Θεσσαλονίκη), καθώς επίσης και στη Μπολόνια, Φλωρεντία, Ρώμη, Γένοβα κ.ά.. To Μάρτιο του 2008 εξελέγη τακτικό μέλος της Ακαδημίας Αθηνών. Η Ακαδημία τον διέγραψε από την επετηρίδα της διότι μετά από ασθένεια έμεινε τυφλός.

"Night Thoughts" was inspired by a ninth-century Buddhist pipa tune and represents for pipa virtuoso and composer Wu Man a chance to rediscover the pipa's native, regional language. She was particularly drawn to its ancient tune scale, which is very different from today's mostly pentatonic pipa music, and to the peaceful, meditative sound of the pipa in the low register.
This performance took place at Harvard University's Sanders Theatre in March 2011, as part of a concert by the Silk Road Ensemble with Yo-Yo Ma. Silkroad is affiliated with Harvard University.
