Φωτογραφίες από την πρωτεύουσα που γιόρταζε το 1960 τα Χριστούγεννα φέρνουν στο μυαλό των παλαιότερων αναμνήσεις μια άλλης εποχής και δίνουν στους νεότερους το στίγμα της πόλης εκείνης της δεκαετίας κατά τις εορταστικές μέρες…

είχαν πολυώροφα κτίρια από ψημένα τούβλα και εξελιγμένα 

συστήματα ύδρευσης και αποχέτευσης.  

Ο πολιτισμός της Κοιλάδας του Ινδού είναι ένας από τους πιο λαμπρούς που έχει να επιδείξει η προϊστορία μας. Ανθησε στην Εποχή του Χαλκού, πριν από περίπου 5.000 χρόνια, στο βορειοδυτικό τμήμα της Ινδικής Χερσονήσου, στα σημερινά σύνορα της Ινδίας με το Πακιστάν.

Αλλάζει χώρο και ημερομηνίες η Art Athina - Ιούνιο στο Ωδείο Αθηνών

Από φέτος θα πραγματοποιείται στο Ωδείο Αθηνών,
με νέες ημερομηνίες πιο καλοκαιρινές, από τις 20 Ιουνίου 

έως και τις 24 Ιουνίου 2018.

Χριστούγεννα στη Μαρίνα Φλοίσβου "Ο Φλοίσβος στη χώρα του Καρυοθραύστη"

Οι εορταστικές εκδηλώσεις της Μαρίνας, με θέμα "Ο Φλοίσβος στη χώρα του Καρυοθραύστη", ξεκινούν την Κυριακή 10 Δεκεμβρίου στις 15:30 με την Τελετή Έναρξης, και κορυφώνονται το απόγευμα στις 17:30 με την άφιξη του Άγιου Βασίλη, ο οποίος καταφθάνει από τη θάλασσα. Κατά τη διάρκεια της Τελετής Έναρξης, θα πραγματοποιηθούν πρωτότυπα δρώμενα, τα οποία μαζί με την παραδοσιακή φωταγώγηση του χριστουγεννιάτικου δέντρου και τα εντυπωσιακά πυροτεχνήματα, θα συναρπάσουν χαρίζοντας χαμόγελα και μοναδικές στιγμές σε μικρούς και μεγάλους. Οι επισκέπτες θα έχουν μάλιστα την ευκαιρία να αντικρίσουν για πρώτη φορά τον μικρό Φλοίσβο, την ολοκαίνουργια μασκώτ της Μαρίνας Φλοίσβου.

One of the giants of the historically informed performance world needs little introduction; nor indeed his sympathy to Mozart’s oeuvre as already demonstrated in recordings of the three da Ponte operas that have met with wide acclaim and many awards for their closely observed intimacy, their sense of fun and drama and their well-chosen casts, at one with Kuijken’s vision of these jewels of human and music drama.

His recording of Mozart’s magical last opera, however, has not received wide availability until now, in its appearance as part of Brilliant Classics’s comprehensive Opera Collection. The recording was made live at the Notre-Dame Church in Beaune, in France, in 2004. The cast is highly recognisable from many other fine productions of Baroque and early music, including Suzie LeBlanc (Pamina); Cornelius Hauptmann (Tamino); Stephan Genz (Papageno) and Isolde Siebert (Queen of Night).

Of course the orchestral contribution to this recording is no less distinguished: La Petite Bande features the cream of Continental period-instrument musicians, and is led by Kuijken himself, a violinist as much at home in Mozart’s world as he is in Bach’s.

Αφορά στο Γιάννη Γαΐτη και την έκθεση «Για μικρά και μεγάλα παιδιά, Γιάννης Γαΐτης» στο Κέντρο Τεχνών δήμου Αθηναίων στο Πάρκο Ελευθερίας. Η έκθεση διαρκεί δύο μήνες (11 Δεκεμβρίου – 11 Φεβρουαρίου) και οργανώνεται από τον ΟΠΑΝ του δήμου Αθήνας, σε συνεργασία με την Πολιτιστική Εταιρεία Σαρωνικού «Πολύτροπον» και το Μουσείο «Γιάννη Γαΐτη-Γαβριέλας Σίμωση».

Τρεις δημιουργοί, χρησιμοποιώντας ο καθένας τους διαφορετικές τεχνικές και υλικά, με κοινό γνώρισμα τους την έμπνευση από το περιβάλλον, παρουσιάζουν κοσμήματά τους στον πολυχώρο Βρυσάκι. Περιοδική έκθεση με τίτλο «Μεσαιωνικοί θησαυροί από το Κρατικό Αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο Βαρσοβίας» εγκαινιάζει την Πέμπτη 14 Δεκεμβρίου 2017, και ώρα 19:00, το Αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο Θεσσαλονίκης σε συνεργασία με το Κρατικό Αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο Βαρσοβίας.

Πρόκειται για μια περιοδεύουσα έκθεση παραγωγής του Κρατικού Αρχαιολογικού Μουσείου Βαρσοβίας (KAMB), με πολλούς ήδη σταθμούς σε πόλεις τις Πολωνίας και σε άλλες ευρωπαϊκές χώρες. Η έκθεση έχει ως στόχο να παρουσιάσει για πρώτη φορά στο ελληνικό κοινό μερικά από τα πολυτιμότερα και πιο αντιπροσωπευτικά αντικείμενα των συλλογών του KAMB.

Παρουσιάζονται 445 εκθέματα, στη συντριπτική τους πλειονότητα κοσμήματα αλλά και άλλου είδους περίτεχνα εξαρτήματα ένδυσης, όπως δαχτυλίδια, σκουλαρίκια, βραχιόλια, πόρπες, περίαπτα, περιδέραια, πόρπες ζωνών, χάντρες, σταυροί, εγκόλπια κ.ά. Η εκθεσιακή αφήγηση οργανώνεται σε 11 θεματικές ενότητες, ανάλογα με τα είδη, τις χρήσεις και τις τεχνικές διακόσμησης και κατασκευής των κοσμημάτων, ενώ ξεχωριστή ενότητα συνιστά ο περίφημος «Θησαυρός του Borucin».

Κύπρος: Εστία - Σπίτι

Η πολυδιάστατη έννοια Home (Εστία-Σπίτι) αποτελεί κεντρικό θέμα στο ομώνυμο αυτό έργο. Δύο εκπαιδευτές και 12 φωτογράφοι από την Κύπρο, την Ελλάδα, τη Ρουμανία, τη Σουηδία και τις Η.Π.Α. συμβίωσαν για 6 μέρες στη Δρούσια, όπου διαμέσου της δημιουργικής διαδικασίας της αλληλεπίδρασης, της σύνθεσης ιδεών, των εμπειριών και των ιδιοσυγκρασιών τους, δημιουργήθηκαν οι προϋποθέσεις για καλλιτεχνική παραγωγή. Η έκθεση θα παραμείνει σε λειτουργία από τις 8 έως τις 10 Δεκεμβρίου, και οι επισκέπτες της θα έχουν την ευκαιρία να περιηγηθούν σε ένα κτίριο που συμπυκνώνει μια σημαντική εποχή για το κέντρο της πρωτεύουσας, λίγο πριν αυτό ενοικιαστεί και αποκτήσει νέα χρήση.
