Το Αγκίστρι βρίσκεται μόλις 55 λεπτά από τον Πειραιά και αποτελεί, ίσως, την καλύτερη επιλογή για όποιον θέλει να κάνει διακοπές κοντά στη Αθήνα, συνδυάζοντάς τες με τις δουλειές του ή για αυτόν που θέλει μονοήμερη ξεκούραση μέσα στο καλοκαίρι.
Αποτελεί έναν μικρό επίγειο παράδεισο του Αργοσαρωνικού, πνιγμένο στο πράσινο, με τα πεύκα να "αγγίζουν" τα καταγάλανα νερά του και προσφέρεται για υπέροχες καλοκαιρινές διακοπές και για χαλαρά, ξεκούραστα Σαββατοκύριακα. Είναι το τρίτο νησί στην Ελλάδα σε αναλογία πρασίνου (80%).
Η γενική εικόνα που παρουσιάζει το νησί είναι εντελώς διαφορετική από αυτή που παρουσιάζουν άλλα νησιά που κατακλύζονται από μαζικό τουρισμό. Στο Αγκίστρι θα βρείτε καταπράσινα πευκοδάση, αμμουδερές παραλίες, καταγάλανα νερά, παραδοσιακό χρώμα, ησυχία, γαλήνη, αλλά και έντονη νυχτερινή ζωή για όσους το επιθυμούν.
Ίσως είναι ένας από τους τελευταίους ρομαντικούς προορισμούς στην Ελλάδα που σιγά - σιγά αποτέλεσε πόλο έλξης και χώρο έμπνευσης πολλών καλλιτεχνών.
Το νησί διαθέτει πολλά όμορφα ξενοδοχεία και ενοικιαζόμενα διαμερίσματα ή δωμάτια, κατάλληλα και για οικογενειακές διακοπές.
Έχει δύο φυσικά λιμάνια στα οποία προσεγγίζουν τα πλοία. Το λιμάνι της Σκάλας και το λιμάνι του Μεγαλοχωρίου.
Η ΙΣΤΟΡΙΑ ΤΟΥ ΑΓΚΙΣΤΡΙΟΥ
Το Αγκίστρι μαζί με την Αίγινα και τα γύρω νησιά αποτέλεσαν το Βασίλειο της Αίγινας του μυθικού Βασιλιά Αιακού.
Κατά τον Όμηρο και τον Πλήνιο, το Αγκίστρι είχε την ονομασία Κεκρυφάλεια, που σημαίνει "στολισμένη κεφαλή" και εμφανίζεται σαν σύμμαχος της Αίγινας στον Τρωϊκό Πόλεμο.
Η ονομασία "Αγκίστρι" αποδόθηκε στο νησί, γιατί εξ' αιτίας του φυσικού του κάλλους γοήτευε τους ταξιδιώτες, πολλούς από τους οποίους "αγκίστρωνε" και έμεναν για πάντα στο νησί.
Άλλοι ιστορικοί που αναφέρονται στο νησί, στα συγγράμματά τους, είναι ο Θουκυδίδης και ο Διόδωρος.
Το μεγαλύτερο αρχαιολογικό ενδιαφέρον παρουσιάζουν η Απόνησος, η Μεγαρίτισσα και το Κοντάρι.
Σε όλη την δυτική ακτή του νησιού υπάρχουν, λίγο πιο κάτω από την επιφάνεια της θάλασσας, βυθισμένες αρχαιότητες, ενώ διάφορα αρχαιολογικά ευρήματα υπάρχουν στο Μεγαλοχώρι, στο Πνευματικό κέντρο. Τα ευρήματα αυτά φανερώνουν ότι το νησί πρωτοκατοικήθηκε τουλάχιστον από τον 5ο π.Χ. αιώνα.
Το νησί έχει διαπιστωθεί ότι κατοικείται από την πρωτοελλαδική μέχρι και την ελληνιστική εποχή. Αργότερα περιέρχεται στους Ρωμαίους και στους Βυζαντινούς. Με την πτώση του Βυζαντίου, μαζί με την υπόλοιπη Ελλάδα, γίνεται τμήμα της Οθωμανικής Αυτοκρατορίας.
Agistri is only 55 minutes from Piraeus and at a stone's throw from the island of Aegina.

432 Hz is said to be mathematically consistent with the patterns of the universe. Studies reveal that 432 Hz tuning vibrates with the universe’s golden mean PHI and unifies the properties of light, time, space, matter, gravity and magnetism with biology, the DNA code and consciousness. When our atoms and DNA start to resonate in harmony with the spiraling pattern of nature, our sense of connection to nature is said to be magnified.
Another interesting factor to consider is that the A=432 Hz tuning correlates with the color spectrum while the A=440 Hz is off.
Audiophiles have also stated that A = 432 Hz music seems to be non-local and can fill an entire room, whereas A=440 Hz can be perceived as directional or linear in sound propagation.
Once you adopt the idea that sound (or vibration in general) can have an equalizing and harmonizing effect (as well as a disturbing effect), the science of harmony can be applied to bring greater harmony into ones life or a tune to specific energies. There is a form of absolute and of relative harmony. Absolute harmony can for example be determined by the tuning of an instrument. The ancients tuned their instruments at an A of 432 Hz instead of 440 Hz - and for a good reason. There are plenty of music examples on the internet that you can listen to in order to establish the difference for yourself. Attuning the instrument to 432 Hz results in a more relaxing sound, while 440 Hz slightly tenses up to body. This is because 440 Hz is out of tune with both macro and micro cosmos. On the contrary, 432 Hz is in tune. To give an example of how this is manifested micro cosmically: our breath (0,3 Hz) and our pulse (1,2 Hz) relate to the frequency of the lower octave of an A of 432 Hz (108 Hz) as 1:360 and 1:90.
It is interesting to note that 432 Hz was the standard pitch of many old instruments, and that it was only recently (19th and 20th century) the standard pitch was increased. This was done in order to be able to play for bigger audiences. Bigger audiences (more bodies) absorb more of the lower frequencies, so the higher pitch was more likely to “cut through”. One of the oldest instruments of the world is the bell ensemble of Yi Zeng (dated 423 BC), tuned to a standard F4 of 345 Hz which gives an A= 432 Hz. The frequency of 345 Hz is that of the platonic year! Similarly many old organs are tuned in an A=432 as well; for example: St. Peter’s Capella Gregoriana, St. Peter’s Capella Giulia, S. Maria Maggiore in Rome.
Maria Renold’s book “Intervals Scales Tones and the Concert Pitch C=128 Hz” claims conclusive evidence that 440 Hz and raising concert pitch above scientific “C” Prime=128 Hz (Concert A=432 Hz) disassociates the connection of consciousness to the body and creates anti-social conditions in humanity.
The difference between concert pitch A=440 Hz and Concert A=432 Hz is only 8 cycles per second, but it is a perceptible difference of awareness in the human consciousness experience of the dream we share called existence.
On a personal level, I "feel" the music between me & the person I am talking to plus sound is NOT not coming direct from the speakers, it's just "there". Also, I do not need to shout in clubs and pubs for other person to hear me properly - when I'm lucky enough to be blessed enough to be in that kind of environment, that is.

Ολόκληρη η Σύμη αλλά και τα νησάκια που βρίσκονται γύρω από αυτήν κηρύχθηκαν αρχαιολογικοί χώροι από το Κεντρικό Αρχαιολογικό Συμβούλιο, αφού περιλαμβάνουν 159 θέσεις -χώρους και μνημεία- που καταγράφουν την ιστορία της περιοχής από την προϊστορική εποχή ως τα νεώτερα χρόνια.
Η Κέρκυρα είναι ένα από τα βορειότερα και δυτικότερα νησιά της Ελλάδας και του Ιονίου Πελάγους. Βρίσκεται στην είσοδο της Αδριατικής Θάλασσας, κοντά στις Ηπειρωτικές ακτές. Raga Puriya Kalyan is a melody that is traditionally played at the dusk (known as "sandhi-prakash"). It is a combination of two Ragas - Puriya and Yaman. Its mood is somber, meditative, contemplative, devotional and like many Ragas played at dusk, it makes one contemplate about life.

Σαν ένα κόσμημα γεμάτο με μυστηριώδη εσωτερική λάμψη,οι πίνακες του Phil,όπως αναφέρει η Άννα Γεωργίου, ζωγράφος και μουσικός, η οποία επίσης εκθέτει μαζί με τον Phil, στη δεύτερη τους έκθεση στη Γκαλερύ Κυπριακή Γωνιά “έχουν την προέλευση τους από τις λαβυρυνθώδεις εσωτερικές σπηλιές της ανθρώπινης ψυχής”.

The Secret Trio is made up of three astounding musicians who came together to create a new type of chamber music, combining the elements of sound, texture and rhythm with new and interesting approaches to their instruments. Not bound to a single tradition, they perform a collection of original pieces and traditional melodies that fuses the microtonal modes and improvisation of the Middle East, dance beats of the Balkans, and elements of jazz, Rock, classical and world music. The delicate harmonies, rapid-fire synchrony and intricate counterpoint developed by a trio of musicians with separate roots in Turkish, Armenian and Macedonian Roma music is extraordinary. By inventing new ways to play percussively on fundamentally melodic instruments, the ensemble, full of rhythm and drive, harmony and counterpoint, never sounds like only three instruments. In that the energy of live music is essential to the ensemble's ideology, this recording was made without the use of any overdubs in order to capture the excitement of their live concerts.
