Καλλιτέχνες του Νόβι Σαντ στη Θεσσαλονίκη
Καθηγητές και φοιτητές από το Νόβι Σαντ της Σερβίας παρουσιάζουν τα χαρακτικά τους στη Θεσσαλονίκη. Η έκθεση φιλοξενείται στο Βαφοπούλειο Πνευματικό Κέντρο και είναι μια συνδιοργάνωση με τον Τομέα Χαρακτικής της Ακαδημίας Τεχνών του Πανεπιστημίου της σερβικής πόλης.

LOU REED - Walk On The Wild Side (vinyl)
From Lou Reed's 1972 "Transformer" album.
This lyrics were inspired by real-life characters from New York City underground life, most of them related to Andy Warhol's studio "The Factory", and at the time most of the topics in the lyrics were considered taboo.
The album was produced by David Bowie and Mick Ronson, and the iconic bass line in this track was played by the English session musician Herbie Flowers, who played first with an upright bass, and then, overdubbed on an electric bass for added effect.
This is a 2009 reissue.

If there is an embodiment of intensity, Parvathy is it. As our friend, as an advisor, as a fiery challenger, she has brought us into deeper touch with ourselves. This recording was made as part of our week-long immersion with Parvathy at her home and akhada on the outskirts of Trivandrum in September 2011. She warmly welcomed us, housed us, fed us, and sang for us and spoke to us with great depth and insight about the Baul path and about life itself. An experience that we still carry with us.
Parvathy Baul is a Baul singer and saadhika, painter and storyteller from Bengal and has been a disciple of Shashanko Goshai and Sanatan Das Baul. She currently lives in Trivandrum, Kerala. (www.parvathybaul.srijan.asia)

Έκθεση μαθητών Εργαστηρίου Αγιογραφίας Δ. Νίκαιας- Αγ. Ι. Ρέντη
Μέσα από τα έργα τους οι 45 μαθητές του Εργαστηρίου της Αγιογραφίας ηλικίας 18 έως 70 ετών, παρουσιάζουν τη διαδικασία και τα στάδια δημιουργίας μίας φορητής εικόνας, αφού προηγουμένως έχουν λάβει εκπαίδευση σε συγκεκριμένους κανόνες τόσο για την σχεδίαση όσο και για τα χρώματα. Επίσης, στον ίδιο χώρο τα προχωρημένα έτη των σπουδαστών θα παρουσιάσουν και εκθέματα τοιχογραφίας σε μουσαμά, όπου μετά την ολοκλήρωσή τους θα διακοσμήσουν τους τοίχους του εργαστηρίου.

H Myrό Gallery για δεύτερη συνεχή χρονιά παρουσιάζει την έκθεση «Μεγάλοι καλλιτέχνες και Μικροί δημιουργοί» τη Μεγάλη Τρίτη 11 Απριλίου, στις 20.00 το βράδυ. Η έκθεση θα παρουσιάζει ζωγραφική παιδιών που έχουν εμπνευστεί από γνωστά έργα μεγάλων δημιουργών από τη Μ. Τρίτη 11 Απριλίου ως το Μ. Σάββατο15 Απριλίου.

Τριάντα καλλιτέχνες υποδέχονται τη Documenta 14 στην Καπλανών
Οι γκαλερί της Αθήνας καλωσορίζουν τη Documenta 14 με τη gallery walk που γίνεται από τις 6 ως τις 9 Απριλίου. Η γκαλερί Καπλανών 5 για το τετραήμερο αυτό έχει προετοιμάσει μια ενδιαφέρουσα ομαδική έκθεση στην οποία τριάντα καλλιτέχνες θα δείξουν δουλειά τους που έχει αφετηρία τους προβληματισμούς της documenta 14.

Η gallery genesis παρουσιάζει τον Γιάννη Ξανθούλη στην «Έκθεση Ανεπανόρθωτη» σε καλλιτεχνική διεύθυνση του Γιώργου Τζάνερη. Διάρκεια έκθεσης 4 έως 29 Απριλίου. Οποιοδήποτε σημείωμά μου γι’ αυτήν την έκθεση των ζωγραφιών, που έκανα στα τελευταία τρία χρόνια, θα θύμιζε απολογία.

Diaraby - Playing For Change - Live Outside
We are proud to release a new video from our Live Outside series recently recorded and filmed in the ancient West African Village of Kirina, Mali. This performance features Mahamadou Diabate and Sayba Diabate on the traditional instruments, calabash and kora, as well as PFC Band member, Roberto Luti, on steel guitar. This village is the home of one of our PFC Foundation music programs—Ecole de Musique de Kirina, and also holds the roots to traditional Mali music and the Blues.
"Although it is one of the poorest economic places on earth, I have never seen happier people in my life and this teaches us that it's not about what we have or don't have but rather what we do with what we have and how we treat each other," says PFC co-founder Mark Johnson.
Let's use this performance as an inspiration to create a better world around us; one that understands that no matter how many things in life divide us, they are never as strong as the power of music to bring us back together. One heart and one song at a time.
