Entwined by Tim Laman: a young male orangutan climbs a trees above the forest canopy in Borneo

The photograph – ‘Entwined’ by Tim Laman – was the joint winner of the international Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition last year.
It is part of an exhibition of 100 of the best photographs from the competition that will be opening in the Treasure House in Beverley tomorrow as part of the East Riding of Yorkshire’s contribution to Hull UK City of Culture. The exhibition runs until April 22 – and promises to be one of the highlights of the Hull 2017 programme.
