Another instant classic, ‘Fayinkounko’ is an old Fula song from Guinea brought to the band by Lucy Duran in an old field recording by Jali Nyama Suso. Arranged on the spot in the studio and driven along by Abdoulaye Cissoko’s sparkling kora and Issa Cissoko’s gorgeous tenor sax, this is a seamless performance with outstanding solos and Balla’s effortless singing.
