Around Famagusta
With my bike and just 2-4 hour ride each day, I could only cover Famagusta, some of the Turkish part and a bit of Larnaca and the buffer zone during my stay. I would love to see the rest of the island!
The island is fascinating and interesting. But it’s hard to collect straight fact due to different opinions between the locals on both turkish and cypriotic side. It was inspiring and instructive to hear all the different opinions and interpretations.
Later on I was wondering. For how long will the buffer zone stay as a buffer zone, and will guards ever leave the ghost town in Famagusta?
