The Intercity version of Raga Labs kicks off in style with this amazing collaboration between musicians from 6 different cities, facilitated by 2016 IndianRaga Senior Fellow Vinod Krishnan. Savitha Venkatapathy (Indianapolis), Niranchana Dhakshinamoorthy (Austin), Smriti Sridharan (Apex, NC), Varun Viswanath (San Jose), Ashwin Iyer (Baltimore) and Anjali Prabhala (Dallas) collaborated remotely to present Kaapi with Krishna, a compilation of 3 songs in ragam Kaapi - the first from the perspective of Krishna's mother, the second as Krishna's lover, and the third as Krishna's devotee.
This was a true Raga Lab collaboration, with the participants taking the lead on shaping the creative piece with facilitation from Vinod. The piece reflects the original contributions of the participants and the spirit of coming together to share best practices and tips.
