Lyrics by Bozo Vreco
Music by Bozo Vreco & Royal Street Orchestra
Produced by Royal Street Orchestra
For the first time in the history of the Royal Street Orchestra, the band is very happy to present a collaboration with a vocalist, and a quite stellar one:
Bozo Vreco is one of the most famous contemporary singers and composers of the traditional Bosnian Sevdah music.
His castrato voice, with a range between lyric soprano and lyric tenor, is considered a gift of god by the public, and as such attracting lots of attention by the press on the Balkans and more and more throughout the world.
His visual identity, defined by a feminine - masculine duality, is perfectly complementing his musical and artistic expression.
Bozo´s highly unique a-capella interpretation of sad and tragical Sevdah Love-Songs already quite early in his career resulted in his songs being featured in theater pieces and documentary movies.
Even the New York Times did refer to his "angel-like" voice and is considering him and his work "a synonym for freedom".
Additionally to his work as a solo artist and writer Bozo Vreco is always alive to collaborations with like minded artists. At the same time the Royal Street Orchestra is a band which does not accept any boundaries and is instead, based on love and respect, combining seemingly conflicting musical styles and ways of life to something new, something special, and thus showing that, even if many are convinced of the opposite, it is possible for people of different views and from different cultural and religious descents to live and create as one.
So, the combination of Vreco and the RSO is a quite exciting one:
"Crne Oci" is a tragical love song, whose lyrics, intensified by Bozo´s breathtaking vocal performance, are taking you to ancient Bosnia, where a young man is suffering in silence by witnessing the love of his life being soon married to another man, without any chance to change it.
The Royal Street Orchestra is seconding the song with a sound which is based on the roots of Sevdah music, but also adding its original flavor and new aspects to it, transporting the still very much up to date topic to the present...
Enjoy the perfect symbiosis of friends, unique artists and life-lovers,
who are taking you to a place you have never been before!!!
