"Dream" is a traditional folk song, arranged by Tasíya aka Nastja Volokitina.
"Tasíya & Sammy Lukas" presents own compositions and arrangements of traditional folk music from Ukraine, Russia and Azerbaijan, which are mixed with complex jazz and world music compositions and improvisations. "Tasíya & Sammy Lukas" won 1st prize at the "Junger Münchner Jazzpreis 2017".
Nastja Volokitina studies with Prof. Michael Schiefel at the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar. Most recently, she won 1st prize at the "Voicingers International Jazz Song Contest" in Żory, Poland, 2nd prize at the "Montreux Jazz Voice Competition", and 2nd Prize and Special Jury Prize at the prestigious "Riga Jazz Stage 2017 competition" in Latvia.
Sammy Lukas studies in Weimar with Florian Kästner and recently won 1st prize at the "Yamaha Jazz Piano Competition 2017" in Nuremberg.
